Temporary Showroom in Milan 2024

Last week, ALU hosted a temporary event at via Savona 33 in Milan to introduce our new Insula system. Throughout the showroom, the freestanding islands featured open shapes and a central base, ensuring stability while allowing for extensions on either side.

Redefining the concept of mid-floor units with their contemporary and lightweight design, multiple Insula units stood tall at the center of the space, accommodating extensions in many configurations without the need for anchoring.

The first area featured a custom white set-up and accessories from TondoQuadro and Plot, including customized shelves, demonstrating Insula’s versatility. A vertical aluminum base with a magnetic graphic pegboard was installed on a custom zinc galvanized version of Insula, which was accessorized with matching Plot accessories. This section also showcased a transparent plexiglass base cover, revealing the clean interior, and an integrated wooden cabinet. Visitors could also observe the two different heights of 150cm (59”) and 175cm (68”) available for Insula.

The centerpiece of the space displayed Insula in a standard black finish, complete with lighting. The base cover featured a LED panel, complemented by Hans Boodt mannequins. A vertical base supported a functional and communicative lightbox, with black Autopoles completing the setup.

Several custom accessories were available to meet various display needs, including shelves made from materials like Valchromat, bamboo, Viroc, and Resysta by Coppo Legno, or Green Core, SPS, Multi Style, and Linoleum by Sadun. Additionally, merchandising from various industries, such as CMP’s t-shirts and jackets and CDLP’s underwear, was exhibited on Insula’s crossbars, faceouts, or peghooks.

Insula could be illuminated either by Plot’s crossbar lighting the displayed items or by a battery-powered, cable-free option designed to last all day and be recharged overnight. The temporary space at via Savona 33 was filled with freestanding and tensioned fixtures, allowing guests to explore the Insula display system and the new color options for Autopole.

Designed to be sustainable, ALU’s collections are recyclable, can be shipped flat-pack, and are easily disassembled for future events, ensuring durability and adaptability. High-quality and modular, these fixtures are made to last and can be reused multiple times.
